Well, the cat is finally out of the bag. Lahore Qalandars have parted ways with Brendon Mccullum in PSL Trade and Retention Window.
Bazz and Lahore Qalandars have parted ways after an association of 2 years. The announcement came from Bazz’s twitter handle and read:’A big thank you to @lahoreqalandars for the past 2 seasons. Today we have parted ways but I leave with fond memories and friendships. I wish you all the best in the future. To the Rana family, a special thank you. Our friendship will always remain. @thePSLt20 ‘ .
Here is the Tweet:
Lahore Qalandars thanked Mccullum for his services and in inspiring a young team. They further wished Mccullum for the future.
McCullum played 18 games for Qalandars with his best score being 44. He led the Qalandars in two editions of PSL with the Qalandars finishing at the bottom in both the editions.
However, it is still unclear if the franchise will retain McCullum in a non-playing role or not.
With Bazz gone and Lahore having the first pick in Platinum category, it is imminent that Lahore would go for AB as their Marquee Player and Captain. We do hope that we see Bazz in action in the PSL.
